CARRBORO, N.C. -- The Town of Carrboro Stormwater Division along with collaborating partners has received the Project of the Year Award from the 2024 American Public Works Association – North Carolina Chapter.
The project recognized is the EPA 319 Grant Project in Bolin Forest, which received the Natural Systems Project of the Year. The award was announced at the annual APWA NC Stormwater Conference held Sept. 15-17, 2024 in Wilmington.
The construction of the regenerative stormwater conveyance (RSC) was made possible through the collaboration of many partners working together to restore an eroding ephemeral channel that flows into Bolin Creek.
This project is part of the bigger picture in restoring the Bolin Creek Watershed. Learn more about this project online.
