CARRBORO, NC – Mayor Barbara Foushee proclaims April 25 to May 4 as Black Restaurant Week in Carrboro, celebrating the rich cultural diversity and the contributions of Black-owned businesses.
The Town of Carrboro recognizes the importance of supporting local Black-owned restaurants, which play a vital role in building inter-generational wealth, strengthens our local economy, and fosters a more inclusive, equitable an vibrant community.
Black Restaurant Week provides an opportunity to highlight the culinary talents, entrepreneurial spirit, and cultural heritage of Black chefs, restaurateurs and food artisans in our community.
