  1. Fitness Easter Egg Hunt hosted by Fresh Air Fitness

    April 21, 2019, 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM @ Chapel Hill Community Center Park

    -Free! -Open to everyone, suitable for all fitness levels -Kids are welcome to participate alongside their parents -Bring a bag or basket -Meet in the parking lot of the Chapel Hill Community Center Approximately 600 plastic eggs will be hidden all around the park, each containing an exercise/# of reps to complete. Participants will locate an egg, open it, complete the exercise, then put the egg in their bag before moving on to the next. A few eggs will have special surprises in them! This workout is aimed for adults but kids who are old enough to understand the rules (not just run around and grab all the eggs) are welcome to participate independently and younger kiddos can participate alongside parents as part of a 'family team'. This is a fun workout that anyone can achieve at their own pace - so spread the word!

    The Skylight Gallery, Hillsborough Artist Cooperative, 102 West King Street, located in downtown Hillsborough upstairs over Antonia’s restaurant presents "Creative Quilt Design" by Marga de Bruijn, April 26 - May 26, 2019. Most of Marga's quilts are constructed out of basic geometric shapes (squares, triangles, diamonds). The light incorporated through the unique use of color gives a sense of depth beyond what form can provide.

    CO-SPONSORED BY SCOTTS & MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL Throw strikes to a designated target, hit from a batting tee for distance and accuracy, and sprint from 2nd base to home plate for time. Winners advance to sectional competition and have an opportunity to advance to the MLB All Star Week. Make sure to bring a copy of birth certificate for age verification. Boys and girls compete separately in four age groups. Ages: 7-14

The 2nd Tuesday is used as a work session meeting for the Board of Aldermen and public comment is generally not accepted.
